Sad News For Asisat Oshoala

The former Arsenal star is having a good season with Barcelona Feminine, but she has received a sad new off the pitch

Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala is currently mourning the death of her stepmother. Oshoala took to her social media page to announce the demise of her stepmother.

In a statement released on her official Twitter account, Oshoala said: “With sadness and a heavy heart but total submission to the will of almighty Allah, continue to Rest In Peace Mama.”

While it was initially thought it was her mother, Oshoala clarified in a follow-up statement that it was her stepmom.

The former Liverpool star has also received a condolence message from fans on social media following the sad news.

Oshoala has had a good season so far with her Barcelona side. The 26-year-old has scored ten times and registered two assists in 13 games for Lluís Cortés team.

However, she was part of the Barcelona side that suffered a shock loss to Atletico Madrid in the semifinals of the Spanish Super Cup.
