The Super Eagles star has recovered from injury but will miss Napoli’s Serie A trip to Cagliari after testing positive for coronavirus
A new video has shown Osimhen flouting the Covid-19 rules after it was announced that the Nigerian has tested positive for the virus.
Osimhen has not played for Napoli since he picked up a shoulder injury in Nigeria’s calamitous 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone last November.
The injury has kept Osimhen out for almost two months and has missed the Neapolitans last seven games in all competition.
However, he returned to training this week ahead of Napoli’s trip to Cagliari on Sunday, and it was hoped he would feature in the clash.
But he has been ruled out of the trip after testing positive for Covid-19 after returning from an international trip.
It has now emerged that Osimhen was back home in Nigeria to celebrate his birthday, but did not obey the Covid-19 protocols.
The former Lille striker just turned 22 on December 29 and was seen celebrating with a group of friends to mark the occasion.
However, in the video which has gone viral on different social media platforms, Osimhen did not obey the social distancing rule, same with his friends that attended the party.

Napoli has not commented on the video, but it remains to be seen if he would face disciplinary action. The Super Eagles star is yet to justify the 81.3 million euros Napoli paid for him last summer, and this new video is set to pile more pressure on him.
