The Tukkers caused a massive upset in the Dutch top-flight as they secured a 2-1 victory over the champions, but it came at a cost
Tyronne Ebuehi featured for 80 minutes as FC Twente stunned champions Ajax in their Eredivisie clash at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Ebuehi, who joined Twente on loan from Benfica, was making his 11th league appearance of the season.
Queensy Menig put the away side ahead in the 22nd minute, firing home a brilliant curler. However, Ajax responded as a champion should courtesy of a Dusan Tadic strike from the penalty spot in the 59th minute.
But Twente would retake the lead in what eventually proved to be the winner courtesy of another strike from Menig six minutes from time.

However, despite Twente’s stunning win, it was a disappointing end to the night for Ebuehi as he walked off with a suspected hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old has been unlucky with injuries in recent years and missed almost two years of first-team football due to a knee injury that kept him out of the 2018/2019 campaign.
