Despite only recently returning from an injury that required surgery and kept him out of the game for weeks, Nigeria’s midfield general Wilfred Ndidi is already back to his magnificent best
Football fans across all divides have been singing the praises of Wilfred Ndidi on social media after the Super Eagles star delivered yet another accomplished display in Leicester’s 2-0 away win at Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham.
English striker Jamie Vardy had a hand in both Foxes’ goals. The ageless target man opened the scoring from the penalty spot deep into first-half stoppage time before his second-half header forced Spurs Toby Alderweirld to concede an own goal.
It was, however, Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi who was recognised as the man-of-the-match.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder touched nearly every blade of grass on the pitch to record incredible numbers of interception, ball recoveries, tackles, and pass completion rates.

Added to that was his role in helping Brendan Rodgers’ men stop Tottenham’s twin terror-strikers Harry Kane and Heung-min Son from finding the net.
Those two have scored 20 league goals between them, which accounts for 80% of Tottenham’s Premier League haul this term.

And it was no surprise that Jose Mourinho’s men suffered their first home defeat since the opening day loss to Everton.
Delighted with Ndidi’s performance, fans took to Twitter to applaud the former Gent ace.
VERY impressed with the size of Wilfred Ndidi’s pockets today…. fit both Son AND Kane in them. Great work kit man! #lcfc

You were outstanding tonight. When you get five minutes can you pop Son and Kane out of your pockets, apparently Jose wants them back! #lcfc
