A couple of Super Eagles stars were in action for their clubs ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier doubleheader against Sierra Leone

Joe Aribo scored twice as Rangers continued their brilliant season with an 8-0 demolition of Hamilton Academical.

Aribo scored the Gers 3rd, and 4th goals as Steven Gerrard’s men maintain their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

In Portugal, Zaidu Sanusi made his fifth league appearance of the season as Porto came back from a goal down to beat Portimonense 3-1.

Sanusi has had an excellent start to his career at Porto and was once again impressive on Sunday. The 23-year-old had a whopping 95% passing accuracy along with three tackles, two clearances and one successful interception.

Beto put Portimonense ahead in the 13th minute, but goals from Chancel Mbemba, Mehdi Taremi and Sergio Oliveira turned the tie around for the Champions.

Meanwhile, in Denmark, Frank Onyeka played for the entire duration as Midtjylland thrashed title rivals Copenhagen 4-0.

Sory Kaba put Midtjylland in the 36th minute before a goal from Evander Ferreira and Pione Sisto’s brace sealed an emphatic win for the home side.

In Russia, Chidera Ejuke was a second-half substitute as CSKA Moscow moved to the top of Russian Premier League with a 2-0 win over FC Rostov.

Ejuke came on for Arnor Sigurdsson in the 65th minute as goals from Konstantin Kuchaev, and Fedor Chalov were enough to seal the three points for CSKA.

Emmanuel Dennis came off 14 minutes after half-time in Club Brugge’s 3-1 win at Oostende. Dennis was taken off for Youssouph Badji, who scored Club’s third goal.

Mats Rits had put the away side ahead, but Makhtar Gueye levelled matters for Oostende. Krepin Datta, however, restored, Blauw-Zwart’s lead before Badji added a third.
