The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) president admits it Nigeria’s performance was disappointing in the 1-0 loss to Algeria last Friday
NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, has admitted the Super Eagles did not play a great game against Le Fennecs but drew positives from the clash.
Ramy Bensebaini’s sixth-minute strike was enough for the current African champions to secure a second consecutive win over Nigeria.
It was a lethargic performance from the Super Eagles with fans putting most of the blame on German-born manager, Gernot Rohr.
While fans were annoyed, Pinnick, however, believes there are some positives to take, saying the team has a great future.
The NFF president also revealed the team missed the qualities of Victor Osimhen, Joe Aribo, Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo.
“Nigeria Vs Algeria – Not a great game but indeed a great future, truly we missed the super, imposing and majestic presence of ARIBO, ETEBO, OSINMEH ESPECIALLY WINFRED NDIDI. IN GOD WE TRUST,” Pinnick said on his Instagram page.

The Super Eagles, however, get the chance to bounce back from the loss to Algeria, when they take on Tunisia in another international friendly on Tuesday.
