South African international forward Percy Tau returned to parent club Brighton Hove and Albion after his loan spell with the Blue-Blacks last season, but one of the Championship’s flying wingers has refused to come as his replacement
Club Brugge will have to look elsewhere for alternatives to filling the gap left behind by Tau after Queens Park Rangers star Bright Osayi-Samuel rejected the chance to move to the Belgian champions, according to a report by West London Sport.
With Brugge desperate to reinforce their attack, the club quickly made their move in the transfer market, and Osayi-Samuel appeared set to be the first summer transfer to join the Blauw-Zwart.
QPR reportedly wanted five million euros for the youngster who scored five goals and created eight assists last term.
An agreement was struck between the two clubs, and Osayi-Samuel even travelled down to Belgium to conclude contract negotiations with the Blauw-Zwart.
But personal terms could not be agreed as Club Brugge’s offer fell short of what the Nigeria-eligible youngster demanded.
Osayi-Samuel is still looking to leave QPR this summer, though, with several English sides, including Burnley and West Brom, interested in his services.
