Super Falcon Stars Oshoala Speaks On Manchester United Top Four Ambition

The Red Devils top-four hopes suffered a massive blow following their 2-2 draw against Southampton at Old Trafford on Monday night

Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala has backed Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League next season despite the disappointment of last night.

United missed the chance to go third after they could only manage a point against the Saints. Stuart Armstrong gave Ralph Hasenhuettl’s men the lead, but goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial appeared to have won it for Solskjaer’s men and put United in third place.

However, there was to be more drama as Michael Obafemi bundled home from close range in the sixth minute of added time to secure a point for Southampton, and break United’s hearts.

The result was a big blow to United’s top-four ambitions with the Red Devils sitting in fifth place- although level on points with Leicester in fourth place.

Nonetheless, despite the disappointment, Oshoala still expects Solskjaer’s men to secure a top-four spot, although she did mock them for the result.

The four-time African Women footballer of the year took to her Twitter account to assure United fans that their team will qualify for the Champions League next season.

The top four race in the Premier League will go down to the wire as just a point separate third-place Chelsea and fifth place United with only three games to go.
