Liverpool, Manchester United and AC Milan have been joined by Napoli in the race to sign Lille striker Victor Osimhen, according to a report.
Super Eagles striker Osimhen is one of the most hotly chased attackers in the world, with the former U-17 World Cup winner attracting interests from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
The Nigeria international only joined Les Dogues at the start of the season, and he has impressed by scoring 18 goals in 38 games, despite the campaign ending prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Costing just 12 million euros less than a year ago, Osimhen could command a fee of up to €60m this summer with Liverpool and Real Madrid among those strongly linked.
Soccernet.ng recently reported that Osimhen’s agent revealed that the young forward is not keen on moving to Italy with racism, an ever-recurring issue in that country.
But this has not stopped Napoli from considering the 21-year-old goalscorer as a possible replacement for Arkadiusz Milik.
According to the latest from Sportitalia (via MilanNews), Napoli are the latest team to join the race for Osimhen as they may have to replace a striker this summer.
The Partenopei have one of Serie A’s finest marksmen in Milik, but the club sees Osimhen as the worthy replacement should Milik be sold.
