Samuel Chukwueze was born in Umuahia, Abia State, Eastern part of Nigeria. He started his career at Diamond Football Academy in his hometown before he sealed a big move to Villarreal in 2017.

Chukwueze impressed at Villarreal’s youth team, and he was rewarded with a first-team debut in September 2018 in a 2-2 draw against Rangers in the Europa League.

Since then, he has been a key player in the team drawing praises from his teammates and the club’s supporters for his electrifying performances.

He made his Super Eagles debut in a goalless draw against Uganda in November 2018.

Chukwueze scored his first goal for Nigeria against South Africa at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, where the Super Eagles won the bronze medal after finishing third.
