The Nigeria international played his 23rd league game of the season, but his Paderborn side could not pick up the maximum points in their race for survival
Super Eagles star Jamilu Collins was in action for the whole 90 minutes as Hoffenheim held Paderborn at home in the Bundesliga clash between the two sides on Saturday.
Robert Skov put Die Kraichgauer ahead in the fourth minute, but Paderborn drew level five minutes later through a Dennis Srbeny.
The two strikes in the opening ten minutes proved to be the goals from the match as both teams could not find the back of the net again.
Collins was in action for the home side, and he played the entire duration of the encounter. However, the result did not do Paderborn any good for their survival hopes.
Steffen Baumgart’s men sit bottom of the table with 18 points, and there are just six matches left. They are currently three points behind Werder Bremen who picked up a vital win at Freiburg.
Meanwhile, at the top of the table, Borussia Dortmund closed the gap between them and Bayern Munich to just one point.
Lucien Favre’s men saw off the challenge of Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena thanks to goals from Raphael Guerreiro and Achraf Hakimi.
The win puts Dortmund on 57 points, one behind Bayern who play Eintracht Frankfurt later on Saturday evening.
