The Nigerian starlet has proven that he’s got the talent to become a global figure at the highest level following his exploits in French Ligue 1.

He joined Bordeaux from Sunderland last year, teaming up with his compatriot and Super Eagles star Samuel Kalu.

This season, he has scored eight goals in 24 appearances, and it is a remarkable statistic for a young player who only joined last year.

The 21-year-old has won the confidence of his teammates and coach at Bordeaux with his positive displays on the pitch. This has seen the young Nigerian striker linked with a move to AC Milan in the summer.

Following the interest from the Italian giants, we evaluate the reasons Josh Maja should join up with the club at San Siro.

FULFIL HIS POTENTIALS

The talented Nigerian forward could be a massive signing for the Rossoneri while he continues to grow in his game. The move to Milan could see him score more goals even as he learns new measures at the Italian clubs.

If the young Nigerian who has a good relationship with Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr moves to the Serie A giants, he will become a better player tactically.

This could see him thrive in transition at the club with a quality supply that could be coming from the midfield.

It would also see him score more goals to aid the club’s advancement in the Serie A and on the European stage as well.

BUILD AN AMAZING REPUTATION

The Nigerian striker may have started with Sunderland in the English Championship. But his move to Bordeaux has seen him rise to international relevance following his involvement with the National team.

This has seen him been mentioned in the headlines as he teamed up with Nigeria’s Gernot Rohr in the Super Eagles.

However, a possible move will help him to build a massive reputation as a player as the Italian club is renowned with greatness. This would earn him the fear factor his talent deserves.

PICK A SPOT IN THE SUPER EAGLES

The Nigerian talent may have risen to prominence, but there is still much work to do. Although he is a Nigeria international, he’s been on the standby list on a couple of occasions despite already making his debut last year.

Nothing has changed even with the retirement of Odion Ighalo from the Nigerian side. However, if he moves to AC Milan, his exploits at such high profile clubs will endear him to the heart of Nigerian fans and the coaches.

It would also afford him the higher chance of picking a spot in the Super Eagles as competition becomes the order of the day in the Nigerian attack.
