The 25-year-old is a regular for both club and country, but he believes there’s still room for improvements in his game.
Super Eagles star Jamilu Collins has revealed that Celestine Babayaro and Marcelo are the two players he learns from.
The Paderborn left-back said this in an Instagram live interview with Ojbsports. Babayaro made 35 appearances for the Super Eagles and was the last decent left-back Nigeria had.
The 41-year-old also featured for Anderlecht, Newcastle, but it was at Chelsea he played his best football, making over 150 appearances for the Blues.
The former Super Eagles star was solid defensively during his playing days, and Collins will also like to improve that area.
While he would love to have defensive skills of Babayaro, Collins revealed he also wants to improve on his movement going forward.
The 25-year-old has been watching clips for Real Madrid’s Marcelo who is one of the best-attacking fullbacks in history.
Speaking to Ojbsports on areas where he wants to improve, Collins said “I will like to have the intelligence of Celestine Babayaro and skills of Marcelo Vieira. I like the way Marcelo attacks and the defensive mindedness of Celestine Babayaro.”
