The pair had a fall out during their time together in the Super Eagles team, but the former Enyimba star insists he has nothing against his ex-manager.
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, says he has gotten over the issue between him and Sunday Oliseh, but he does not have a relationship with him.
Enyeama captaincy was stripped off and dropped as Super Eagles No. 1 during Sunday Oliseh’s time as the Super Eagles manager back in 2015.
Oliseh decided to drop Enyeama from the team and take the armband off him after the former Lille goalkeeper missed two matches.
The decision led to Enyeama’s retirement from the national team before expressing his displeasure at the way Oliseh treated him.
But five years after, the former Nigeria international says he has no issue with Oliseh anymore as he has put the episode behind him.
Speaking in an Instagram live chat with Super Eagles account, Enyeama says he still has Oliseh’s number, but there’s no relationship between them.
“I have nothing against Oliseh, I do not have a relationship with him, we never played at the same time, I have his phone number still, and I suppose he has mine,” Enyeama said.
“The first game I missed, that was when my mother died, the second match I could not come, when I turned up for the third match I was dropped and removed from the camp.” But it’s all in the past, five years ago, I cannot keep that in my heart.
“I will fight with you today and laugh with you tomorrow,” Enyeama added.
