The former Super Eagles goalkeeper has been without a club since he left Lille in 2018, but Dijon offered him a deal last year.
Vincent Enyeama has revealed he did not sign for Ligue 1 side because he was not satisfied with the deal they offered him.
Enyeama has been inactive since Lille released him in August 2018. While there were hopes his troubles will end when he went on trial with Dijon last July, he was unable to secure a contract.
Although many felt Les Moutardes released him after his trials, Enyeama says the club offered him a deal.
However, he rejected the offer because it was not enough. Speaking in an Instagram live chat with the Super Eagles handle, Enyeama revealed he would not sign a deal unless it’s a good one.
The 37-year-old also hinted he is not retiring yet as he is still hoping to get a club that will offer him a good contract.
“I was offered a deal with Dijon when I went for a trial, however, it was not sufficient, I wouldn’t take it,” Enyeama said. If I get a deal that is good, of course, I will accept.
“As long as one feels motivation to get up and train and the joints are good, why not,” he added.
