The Nigerian scored his fourth goal in United’s colours as Solskajer’s men thrashed LASK in the first leg of their last 16 Europa League tie at Austria.
After scoring his fourth goal in just three starts, celebrities, teammates and fans have heaped praises on Odion Ighalo.
The former Super Eagles star fulfilled his childhood dream when he joined United on loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January.
And it is a dream he is successfully living following a bright start that has seen him score four goals in just eight appearances for the club.
Ighalo opened his account for United in the team’s Europa League win over Club Brugge last month. He backed up that performance with another brace in United’s FA Cup win over Derby County.
Thursday’s goal was his fourth for the team in just three starts. It was a peach of a goal with Ighalo taking three beautiful touches before rifling a left-footed shot into the roof of the net.
Further goals from Daniel James, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood and Andreas Pereira sealed a comprehensive win for Solskjaer’s men, but it was Ighalo who set the ball rolling.
Following his performance, United fans, teammates and even celebrities took to Twitter to congratulate the former Nigeria international.

Ighalo is a Manchester United player. It'd be pretty weird if Man United randomly posted a picture of Aguero. Delete. https://t.co/EoGFxCqgyL

Manchester United haven’t lost a game, keeping 9 clean sheets since Ighalo joined in January. Ole has been a lot more relaxed, Sir Alex smiles more in the stands. #LASKMUN
