Super Eagles Star Angry Over The Death Of Local League Player Reportedly Killed By SARS

The local league was thrown into mourning after the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) allegedly killed the assistant captain of Remo stars, Tiamiyu Kazeem.

The Nigerian National League (NNL) side announced this in a series of post on their Twitter account. According to the details, the player nicknamed ‘Kaka' was driving around Shagamu area in Ogun state before SARS officers apprehended him.

He was allegedly accused of being a criminal the SARS official. However, despite showing revealing his identity as a player of Remo stars, the SARS officer refused to listen.

This reportedly led to an argument between the player and SARS officials. According to reports made available by Remo stars, SARS officials were taking Kazeem to the nearest police station.

But on their way, the player questioned the officials on where they are going as there was no police station in sight. This reportedly prompted the officers to push the player out of the car into a moving vehicle.

He was rushed to the hospital after he was knocked down, but he was confirmed dead.

Following the news, a couple of people including Super Eagles star, John Ogu, have spoken against the menace SARS are causing in the society.  The former Hapoel Beer Sheva took to his Twitter account to express his anger at SARS.

Meanwhile, Ogun state commissioner of Police has ordered the immediate arrest of the officer for his unprofessional act and has called for a full investigation into the matter.

    If this is true its very very unfortunate more so when it has become a frequent ocorance, does it mean that we as a nation dont know that every inocent human bloo/life spilled has a very sereose consiquence not oly on the culprit but also on nigeria as a nation, no wonder our country is the way it is. (where people have no value for human life such land can never no peace)
