Bright Osayi-Samuel may be on his way to the English top-flight earlier than many envisaged as the Queens Park Rangers wide-man is believed to be interesting the Saints, Soccernet.ng reports.
Talented midfielder Ebere Eze has been getting all the attention and major transfer headlines coming out of the Hoops camp, but it appears another Anglo-Nigerian would be the one making the switch to the Premier League.
According to footballinsider, Osayi-Samuel could be on his way to the St Mary’s Stadium with the 22-year-old a transfer target for Southampton.
The youngster has impressed with his performances this term despite Rangers’ struggles, notching four goals and registering four assists in the Championship.
Rangers fans have recently been full of praise – a few say he is better than Ebere Eze, even – for the exploits of Osayi-Samuel whose three goals and one assist this January helped the Superhoops record three wins out of their last four games played.
The Okija-born speedster is adept at playing in any position across the front line, while his versatility makes him an indispensable asset for Mark Warburton’s side.
But a multi-million euros offer should be enough to convince QPR to part with a player whose current contract expires in the summer.
