Title-chasing Rangers crumbled in stunning fashion at bottom club Hearts as Joe Aribo and teammates succumbed to a surprising 2-1 defeat in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

The Nigeria international created the first goal that saw Ryan Kent smash home the opener for the Gers at the Tynecastle Park on Sunday, shortly after the restart.

But Steven Gerrard’s men could only keep their lead for just ten minutes as veteran Steven Naismith brought the hosts back on levelled terms. Northern Ireland striker Liam Boyce then got a late winner to condemn the Light Blues to their first defeat of the year.

Rangers remain five points behind rivals Celtic in the title race but have an extra game on the champions.

In France, a Neymar-inspired PSG condemned Victor Osimhen and Lille to a 2-0 defeat in a Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.

The Super Eagles striker appeared in his 20th league game of the season, but couldn’t add to his ten goals as a brace from Brazilian superstar Neymar earned the Parisians their 17th victory of the current campaign.

Lille still sit 7th on the Ligue 1 table with 31 points from 21 matches.

At the Stade de la Beaujoire, a late strike from former Lyon star Jimmy Briand handed Bordeaux all three points in a 1-0 win over hosts, Moses Simon’s Nantes.

Simon had a poor evening for Christian Gourcuff’s side who had centre-back Girotto sent off for a second bookable offence ten minutes into the second half.

While Simon was on from start to finish, his international teammate, Maja, sat on the bench throughout for the victorious visitors.

In England, Daniel Udoh played his part as Shrewsbury Town forced Liverpool to an interesting 2-2 draw in an FA Cup tie at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Jurgen Klopp’s side raced to a 2-0 lead before Jason Cummings struck twice to earn the League One outfit a memorable replay against the Anfield giants.

Lagos born Udoh was introduced into the enthralling encounter five minutes to time as the home side chased a historic winner.
