The Gers midfielder produced another excellent display worthy of a man-of-the-match award as Rangers earned a narrow 1-0 win over Kilmarnock on Thursday evening.

Joe Aribo supplied the final pass for Alfredo Morelos finish as a tie completely dominated by Steven Gerrard’s men was settled by a solitary second half strike.

The Nigeria international was a huge influence on the encounter, dribbling his way out of tight corners and adding creativity to an attack line that has now scored 51 goals in 18 league games.

Fans were left drooling at the performance of Joe Aribo after the former Charlton Athletic star claimed his second assist in as many games on Boxing Day.

Here are some of the fans’ views as shared on Twitter:

@LewisAn33964495: Aribo is on fire. If he keeps playing like that we’re in a good place.

@Blair_1872: Aribo was quality again.

@BillyKsOpinion: Aribo stuck to the job and Killy couldn’t live with him. Was excellent as a false 10 after a tactical change. Deserves MOTM.

@Cjnovo992: Fair play to Gerrard moving Joe Aribo over to RW has been nothing short of a masterstroke. Aribo’s been incredible every game since.

@Robert7217:  Another excellent performance from Joe Aribo today. Every Rangers fan must be delighted he turned down Celtic in the summer.
