Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi was helpless as Everton suffered a disappointing home loss to Norwich City which leaves Marco Silva on the brink of the sack.

The Toffees went into the game full of confidence against a side that has not scored an away goal since the opening day of the season.

However,  Daniel Farke’s men did not stick to the script as they stunned Marco Silva’s men by two goals to nil. Todd Cantwell put the Canaries ahead in the 55th minute before Dennis Srbeny added a second in the 90th minute to earn Norwich their third win of the season and condemn Everton to their seventh loss of the campaign.

Nigerian international, Alex Iwobi was brought on in the 56th for Morgan Schneiderlin, but could not do anything to prevent his side from suffering defeat. The loss is likely to be the end of Marco Silva’s reign as Everton’s boss.

The former Hull City manager has been under intense pressure this season following Everton’s poor start to the season.

Meanwhile, it was all smiles for Wilfred Ndidi and his Leicester side as they continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

Goals from Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy secured Brendan Rodgers team the full maximum points on the road. With the win, the Foxes remain second with 29 points from 13 games, while Brighton dropped to 12th position with 15 points from the same number of games.

Ndidi was on from start to finish for Leicester, but Leon Balogun and Kelechi Iheanacho could not get a minute of action.
