Nigeria’s Hottest Talent In Europe Reveals January Transfer Plans

Wanted by top clubs in Spain, Italy and England, Super Eagles most in demand striker Victor Osimhen has made his most profound statement yet regarding his next transfer switch after an incredible spell so far at Lille in the Ligue 1.

Nigeria international Osimhen has declared that his French club Lille hold the key to his next move and would be willing to switch to another team anywhere in Europe should Les Dogues desire it so.

The 20-year-old forward only joined Christophe Galtier’s men in the summer for a reported €12 million from Sporting Charleroi of Belgium, committing to a five-year contract.

However, after a blistering start to his Ligue 1 sojourn which has coughed out 10 goals for club and country in just four months, Osimhen has seen interest in his services increased with Barcelona, AC Milan, Leicester City, and Newcastle United among clubs believed to be monitoring his status heading into the January transfer window.

“If big clubs look at me, it’s great for me. But I am well in Lille. The club will decide if I stay or leave. I will not object,” Osimhen said according to quotes obtained by Soccernet.ng.

“Playing in one of the biggest clubs in France, playing the Champions League, I dreamed without ever thinking that it would happen. Today is [important to] me and I must [live] in the present. I have to go as far as possible.

“I’ve always been ready to take the stage…

“I had confidence in myself and the experiences in Wolfsburg and Charleroi helped me. The most important thing was to play fast.”

The Super Eagles striker has scored 9 goals for Lille, 7 in the league and 2 in the Champions League, and will likely start when Nigeria face the Squirrel of Benin in a couple of days.
