A deflected volley from Nemanja Radoja made it three and the visitors' hopes of a comeback were dashed when another Messi goal was disallowed due to Antoine Greizmann being offside in the build up.
Barcelona remain top of the table, though Real Madrid will usurp them if they beat Real Betis later today.
