“He Has Set The Worst Record In Nigeria’s History” – Knocks For Eagles Coach After Olympics Failure

by Imhons Erons

in AFCON, News, Nigeria

Nigeria has failed to qualify for the Summer Olympic Games for just the third time since winning the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games and many are not impressed with the man who has overseen the latest setback.

Coach Imama Amapakapo has come under severe attack after the Olympic Eagles failed to make it past the group stages of the U23 AFCON tournament in Egypt.

Nigeria, the defending champions, could only manage a drab draw against South Africa on Friday night, to end up with four points in Group B, opening the door for the Amagluglug to claim second spot behind the Ivory Coast who defeated Zambia in the other group game.

Fans took to Twitter to express their frustration at coach Amapakabo, who had previously recorded similar ugly results with the Flying Eagles and the Home-based Super Eagles (CHAN Eagles).

So Coach Imama Amakapabo made history as the only Nigerian coach who failed with 3 National teams in a single year..

CHAN EAGLES
WAFU EAGLES
U23 EAGLES

Paul Aigbogun failed with the U20 Eagles..

Manu Garba failed with the U17 Eaglets..

Now the blame game begins..#Maxsports

Imama said CHAN EAGLES boys don't know the basics of Football and are difficult to train,

He was given U23 Olympics Eagles Job, where he was able to work with Players Abroad, he failed still

It is actually Imama who doesn't know the basics of Football and not the players

U-23 coached by Imama Amapakabo = Failure ❌

U-20 coached by Paul Aigbogun = Failure ❌

U-17 coached by Manu Garba = Failure ❌

Falcons coached by Christopher Danjuma = Failure ❌

Anti-Rohr journalists, hope you're seeing the fantastic job our local coaches are doing?#NGARSA

Can we also say Foreign players cldn't interpret tactics & formation? Imama has failed in flying colours. 1st time in d history of 9ja Football dat a Coach cldn't qualify d country for CHAN & Olympics. Is he not an Assistant to Gernot Rohr? So what did he learn? #SackImamanow

Imama's career just took a big hit. Only thing he has going for him now is his Super Eagles assistant coaching gig. And that could be gone soon too on the evidence of his recent poor results. Cool guy but he needs to rebuild his career and reputation. He can learn from Amuneke.

This clueless Imama has given people an opportunity to say Local Coaches aren't good enough to handle National Teams. But honestly can you blame them for having such thoughts? Imama failed to qualify for both CHAN & Olympics & Danjuma failed to qualify Falcons for Olympics.

We saw this coming and said several months ago that:

• Pinnick has destroyed Nigerian soccer with his clueless and tacticalless coaches.

• Dennerby, Aigbohun and now Imama Amapakabo.#NGARSA #TotalAFCONU23 pic.twitter.com/SYdsG8WiUV

— Dennis Adesanoye (@stdennis02) November 15, 2019

Imama is overrated. A top coach can’t fail to qualify for two major tournaments – CHAN + Olympics. #PoojaFootball

— POOJA!!! (@PoojaMedia) November 15, 2019

Imama has set the worst record in the history of Nigerian football.
He successfully crashed Nigeria out of 3 tournaments within a space of 4 weeks;
WAFU, CHAN & U23AFCON

This Imama of a guy is just a herdsman. He should focus on cattle rearing. The thing he knows best. Common South Africa Imama can’t beat? Lol! No tactical formation to win natches
