in News, Nigeria

Former national team coach, Fanny Amun, has admonished the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to dismiss the Golden Eaglets coach, Manu Garba after Nigeria's ouster from the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The Golden Eaglets were knocked out of the competition after losing 3-1 to the Netherlands in the Round of 16 in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Amun, who coached the Nigerian side to win the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Japan, told Brila FM in a chat that was monitored by Soccernet.ng that the NFF must strategies and do away with Garba to give other coaches the chance the manage the team.

“The essence of participating in the competition is development; for the Coaches and players,” Amun stressed.

“It isn’t about winning. The FA should have a rethink about the appointment of coaches. They should look towards extending their tentacles to other Coaches.”

The coach did not go to Brazil to disgraced Nigeria, but exposed himself as a coach of no ideas and should be fired by NFF from Brazil. This is a who spoke about his failure before the championship. The NFF is also a case study.
