Nigeria international Chidinma Okeke has completed a permanent move to La Liga Femenina side Madrid FC from Nigeria’s FC Robo for an undisclosed fee.

Super Falcons defender Chidinma Okeke is set to make her debut against Real Betis on Sunday having put finishing touches to a dream move to Spain where she will team up with the capital club, wearing the number 17 jersey.

Until the switch, the 19-year-old played for FC Robo in the Nigeria Women Premier League and was part of the Nigerian team that won the 2019 WAFU Women’s Cup in Ivory Coast.

The defender has sent a touching goodbye message to her former teammates, coach and club for their help in her development, reports Soccernet.ng

“Its a really tough moment but it’s been marvelous years. It a pride and a pleasure to defend and represent this badge of FC ROBO, for me I will say a big thank you to all my teammates, each and everyone especially my coach EMMANUEL OSAHON (ORACLE),” Chidinma wrote on her official Twitter handle.

“I will miss you all so much and thanks so much to my fans, for all your love, and thanks for everything you have made me feel since i arrive here as a girl. I will keep you all in my heart forever…” Okeke added.

The defender is in line to make her maiden bow for her new side when they face Real Betis on late Sunday evening, a game the Super Falcons star is already looking forward to.

“Today I will be beginning a new journey with @PrimerIberdrola side @MadridCFF in Spain. I am happy to start a new chapter of my career, excited by the desire I have seen at the club. Wishing that we can all enjoy this great season, beginning against real betis.”
