Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has released a strong 23-man squad that will confront the Samba Boys of Brazil at the National Stadium, Singapore on October 13 with Peter Olayinka getting a call-up, but there's no room for Kelechi Iheanacho.

Other notable names on the list are Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Oghenekharo Etebo, Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Samuel Kalu, Ola Aina, Moses Simon to mention a few.

Receiving his maiden call up is Slavia Prague striker, Peter Olayinka, who scored in the Champions League against Inter Milan last week, but Leicester City's Kelechi Iheanacho misses out despite scoring in the Foxes 4-0 victory over Luton Town on Tuesday.

Granada midfielder, Ramon Azeez made a comeback after four years of absence from the Super Eagles. His major highlight was at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where the team crashed out from the knockout stages of the competition.

List of invited players

Goalkeeper

Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Francis Uzoho, Maduka Okoye

Defenders

Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Chidozie Awaziem, Semi Ajayi, Jamiu Collins

Midfielders

Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekharo Etebo, Alex Iwobi, Anderson Esiti, Joe Aribo, Ramon Azeez

Forwards
