Few days after scoring his first ever goal for the Super Eagles, Victor Osimhen returns to action today where he is expected to lead Lille’s attack as Les Dogues seek to maintain their unblemished home record when they host Angers.
Christophe Galtier’s men will later today, Friday, entertain Angers in a Week 5 tie at the 50,000 capacity Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

All eyes will be on 20-year-old Nigeria striker Osimhen when 10th-placed Lille play host to highflying Angers, a team which has won three of their four league games this term. Lille however have won 2 games at home and lost their 2 away matches, leaving them with six points on the table.
The home side are super comfortable at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy where they have won two out of two matches – a 2-1 win over Nantes and an even more commanding 3-0 victory over St Etienne – with Victor Osimhen netting a brace in each of those games.
While Angers, a team that currently sit fourth on the log level on points with champions PSG, are a tougher opponent than Lille’s previous foes, in Osimhen the Great Danes have a striker in hot form. Five goals in as many games for both club and country bear testament to that.
Team News
Lille will be without the services of Turkish midfielder Yusuf Yazici who was sent off in their last match away to Reims.
Also doubtful for the Angers tie are forwards Louc Remy and Tim Weah. But Portugal’s midfielder Miguel Angelo Xeka Rocha is expected to make the squad after recovering from a thigh muscle strain that has kept him away from action since April.
