Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskajer has confirmed that Juventus and Real Madrid target, Paul Pogba is not going anywhere this summer.
Pogba is looking for a move away from Old Trafford three years after joining for a world record fee then. The world cup winner has already made intentions known publicly, saying it is time for a change.
The Frenchman’s agent, Mino Raiola has also revealed the club authorities already know of Pogba’s intentions to leave. Although United are not prepared to let their most prized asset leave, his absence from United’s squad that played AC Milan in a pre-season friendly on Saturday refuelled speculations he’s close to leaving.
However, United manager, Solskjaer reassured fans the 25-year-old will stay at the club, saying he was only left out due to a back strain.
I have no doubt, Paul Pogba will stay at Manchester United this summer”. “I wasn’t expecting him [to travel],” he said.
“I spoke to him after training and he didn’t feel right. It’s not an injury, it’s just some pain. I wasn’t going to risk anything.”
The former Cardiff manager also confirmed the club are set to sign Leicester’s Harry Maguire for a reported fee of 85m pounds.
