Kenneth Omeruo is full of appreciation to everyone at Chelsea after it was confirmed that he was free to finally join Leganes on a permanent basis.

The London club announced the transfer of the Nigeria international to the La Liga side on Tuesday on the their official website.

Omeruo put pen to paper on a five-year contract believed to have cost Leganes £4.6 million. The defender spent last season on loan at the La Liga club last season, making 31 appearances, 30 of which were starts.

Some Chelsea fans are displeased that the Blues have allowed a good defender depart the club at a time when he’s mostly needed but the defender has shrugged off those talks to publicly express his joy in sealing his move to Spain.

“I have nothing but Love for this club … @chelseafc made my dreams as a child to become a reality.. thank you for an Amazing 7 years.. Thanks to all Chelsea fans for the love.. thank you Eddie Newton you are an amazing coach and manager.. I will never forget this club… But it’s time to move on and realize my full potential.. THANK YOU @chelseafc.

“Am so happy to be Joining a team that helped me grow so much last season.. I can’t wait to start and help this team achieve greatness .. Vamos @cdleganes,” Kenneth Omeruo wrote on his Instagram page.
