Ahead of today’s All Africa Games (AAG) semi-final clash against Mali, erstwhile Super Eagles striker, Julius Aghahowa has advised the current Flying Eagles side to remain determined and never underrate any team if they are to make it through to the final.

Agha-wonder as he was popularly known, said this on Tuesday during a program on Brila fm that was monitored by Soccernet.ng.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk star, who played 32 matches and scored 14 goals for the Nigerian national team, including Nigeria’s only goal at the 2002 World Cup against Sweden, urged the Paul Aigbon’s tutored side to keep up with their hard work in order to come out victorious.

“I believe every team that has come this far, they deserve their place and so they should not look down on any team. Nigeria can beat Mali likewise Mali can also beat Nigeria.

“Any team that has gotten to this point is a very strong side. So the hard work that has gotten them this far, they should continue doing the hard work.”

Nigeria booked a semi-finals place in the men’s football event of the 12th All African Games following a 2-2 draw against the host, Morocco, in their last Group A match.

Before now, Nigeria managed a 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso in their opening game before defeating South Africa 2-1 in their second group A fixture.
