Betting Tips: Weekend Games You Can Bank On For Cash

It’s another weekend to enjoy great football matches and also make some cool cash by placing a bet on teams that you can count on.

Last weekend though produced some shocking results where teams such as Man United, Tottenham and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) lost to their respective opponents.

However, Soccernet has randomly picked some interesting games that are 90% sure of putting a smile on your face after 90 minutes.

Chelsea vs Sheffield United

After earning the first maximum points of the Premier League season under manager, Frank Lampard in their 3-2 win over Norwich, the Blues will be hoping to consolidate on their winning form as they welcome Sheffield United on Saturday.

With four points still in the kitten, Chelsea appear good enough to snatch the three months but since football is is not mathematics, Sheffield United could pull a shock result at Stamford Bridge.

Match Facts

This is the first meeting between these two teams since 2007 and just the second in the 21st century.

Chelsea have won both of those fixtures, doing the double over Sheffield United in the 2006/07 Premier League season with a 2-0 away victory and a 3-0 triumph at home.

Prior to that, however, Chelsea had lost four of their last six clashes between 1992 and 1994.

Betting tips: Chelsea’s poor defensive record thus far and the likely absence of Kante means we think the Blades are likely to get themselves on the scoresheet at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues should have enough quality to see out the win at home and possess the likes of Willian and whichever striker is left out from the bench to make a late impact if needed. (Chelsea win or draw under 4.5)

Manchester City vs Brighton

Pep Guardiola has moulded a team capable of winning the Premier League for the third time and they have wasted no time to show their title potential after defeating Bournemouth 3-1 last weekend.

On Saturday, the Citizens will welcome Brighton at the Etihad Stadium, with the three points at stake. Still unbeaten in the league, City will be hoping to cover grounds for their 1-1 draw against Tottenham while Brighton will be keen to produce an upset.

Match Facts

Manchester City have won all four meetings with Brighton since the Seagulls’ promotion to the Premier League, as well as in last season’s FA Cup semi-final.

These two last met on the final day of last season, when Glenn Murray’s header provided a brief scare before City wrapped up the title with an emphatic 4-1 win.

That Murray goal was one of just two that Brighton have scored against City since promotion, having conceded 11.

Betting Tips: City’s well-oiled machine are just too strong for most teams in world football, let alone a bottom-half Premier League side. Even without Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane, the Sky Blues have firepower everywhere you look, and should win this match comfortably. (Man City to win over 1.5)

Burnley vs Liverpool

Burnley welcome Liverpool to Turf Moor on Saturday evening’s Premier League fixture with both sides looking to build on positive results last weekend.

Sean Dyche’s side almost picked up all three points at Molineux last Sunday, while the Reds put three past Arsenal at Anfield in what was a very impressive performance.

Match facts

Saturday evening’s game will be the 95th meeting between the two clubs, with Liverpool currently leading the way with 46 wins to Burnley’s 33.

While the Lancashire club are close in wins overall, their recent record against their Merseyside opponents hasn’t been particularly strong, with just one win in their 10 previous Premier League encounters.

The two fixtures between these clubs threw up 10 goals last season, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see the net bulge a few more times in this weekend’s game.

Bettig tips: As good as Burnley have been in their opening three games, Liverpool represents a big step up and the away side’s attacking quality and defensive solidity should see them ease to a fourth league win of the season. (Liverpool win or draw under 4.5)

Osasuna vs Barcelona

Barcelona travel to Osasuna in La Liga this weekend looking to continue from their impressive win over Real Betis.

The reigning champions could have Lionel Messi back in the starting line up for the game as they hope to keep pace with Atletico Madrid.

Match facts

Osasuna have played Barcelona 23 times, but Barca lead the head to head with 16 wins to Osasuna’s three.

The last time the two teams played was back in the 2016/17 season – the campaign Osasuna went down. The match ended 7-1 to Barcelona, with Messi taking a starring role which included two goals.

Betting tips: Osasuna have yet to concede this season, so Saturday’s clash should be a tight affair.

Even without Messi, Suarez, and Dembele, Barca should have the quality to see out a win – but it may need a moment of brilliance from Griezmann to decide the contest. (Barcelona to win)

Juventus vs Napoli

Two of Italian football’s biggest clubs will meet on Saturday evening when Juventus take on Napoli in Turin.

Match facts

Juve have taken the spoils in 17 of their encounters with Napoli throughout history, their counterparts winning on 12 occasions, whilst five draws to complete the record. Nevertheless, the Bianconeri have had much the better of it in recent years.

The Partenopei have been victories in just one of the last seven match-ups, with the champions earning a 2-1 trumph in southern Italy the last time they met. Miralem Pjanic swept an early free-kick over the wall and into the back of the net in that game at the San Paolo in March.

Betting tips: A heavyweight match-up is always difficult to call, especially when it takes place so early into a new season.

If nothing else, the Partenopei’s free-flowing victory over Fiorentina shows they have the talent to hurt Juventus. However, Sarri’s backline is a far harder nut to crack than the Viola. We’re likely to see a well-drilled, rigid display from Juve as they aim to suffocate their opposition and take their chances when they come. ( Juventus 2-1 Napoli)

Bayern Munich vs Mainz

After dropping two points in a 2-2 draw with Hertha in their opener, Bayern Munchen did well to roll over their bitter rivals Schalke 04 in their first away game of the season. Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick in the 3-0 win over die Knappen and, no doubt, all eyes will be on the Poland international when the titleholders face Mainz at their Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Match facts

Mainz were thrashed 6-0 on their last visit to the Allianz Arena in March and they are in danger of another hiding on Saturday. Schwarz’s side have conceded six goals in their opening two league matches of this term, while Bayern have scored two or more in eight of their last 10 at home.

Betting tips: Except the unexpected happens, Bayern Munich are expected to have a straight win against Maiz on Saturday. (Bayern Munich 3-1 Mainz)
