Following his goal in Arsenal’s Premier League win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has sent a warning to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United that the gunners are well equipped for the top four this season.
Arsenal made it two wins out of two with victory over Burnley in the new premier league season and are expected to challenge for the top four after a hugely successful summer.
Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring for the Gunners before Ashley Barnes drew the Clarets level in the 43rd minute. But Arsenal will not be denied victory as Aubameyang scored his seventh goal against Burnley to seal maximum points for Emery’s men.
Speaking after the match, the Gabonese striker revealed Arsenal are now stronger and will challenge for the top four this season.
The former Dortmund striker told Arsenal website that the team can challenge for top honours this season after bringing in top players in the summer window.
“Yeah, of course. We feel stronger with players like David Luiz, Dani Ceballos and Pepe. They came here and now we feel stronger, so I feel like we can fight for the top four.” He also stressed the importance of getting the win against Burnley with a trip to Anfield looming next weekend.
“I think we started well today and it’s always good to start with two wins before we go to Liverpool. We feel confident and we feel good and that was important because we played at home, so we’re very happy today.”
