Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi is settling into his new surroundings at Merseyside after securing a deadline day move from Arsenal to Everton.
The 23-year-old left his childhood club to join the Toffees for a 40m pounds and has been trying to warm up to his new supporters.
The Nigerian international was seen answering a couple of questions in a video uploaded on Everton’s twitter page. Among the questions that were asked was his football idol growing up.
Iwobi revealed his uncle, Austin Jay Jay Okocha who is a former Super Eagles and Paris Saint Germain star has always been his idol.

He also revealed the most important moment of his career till date was when he sent Nigeria to the 2018 world cup. The former Arsenal star scored the lone goal for the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifier match against Zambia at Uyo stadium which ensured the country’s sixth appearance at the biggest sporting tournament in the world.

Iwobi is still waiting to make his Everton debut after missing the first two matches. The 23-year-old missed Everton’s first Premier League game against Crystal Palace after was not registered on time, while he was on the bench for 90 minutes in the club’s 1-0 win against Watford last Saturday.
However, he will hope to make his debut next weekend when Everton takes on Aston Villa in their third Premier League match of the season.
