Transfers: Nigeria-born defender ready to make switch from Manchester City to Blackburn

The reigning English Premier League champions have decided to yet again send highly-rated Tosin Adarabioyo on loan to gain valuable first team experience.

The Manchester Evening News reports that the Manchester City player is set to sign a season-long loan deal with Blackburn Rovers.

The six ft five ins defender spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion and once again Pep Guardiola has agreed to let the Nigeria-born centre-back leave Manchester City for more Championship experience.

The towering 21-year-old centre back was so consistent with his performances at The Hawthorns that then West Brom manager, Darren Moore was full of praise  for him saying, “The boy (Adarabioyo) has a desire and a thirst for the game.

“He’s shown versatility, adaptability and an understanding of the game. He’s got a determination to go to the very highest level.

“We’re pleased to have him here and to be part of his development. He’s doing really well.”

The deal about the loan move is finalised and the Ewood Park landlords are expected to make the announcement shortly.
