Barcelona biggest summer signing, Antoine Griezmann, has revealed his favourite team to lift the English Premier League trophy and the one Arsenal forward he wished he could play club football with.
The former Atletico Madrid forward had previously been linked with both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United before he completed a £107million switch Cam Nou earlier this month.
The 28-year-old admitted, in an interview with Sky Sports, that he could have moved to the Premier League in the past but he was enjoying his time in Spain and that England’s lack of one key element of nature kept him away.
“I was having a lot of fun in La Liga,” he revealed about his transfer decision.
“We have one thing the Premier League does not – the sun.”
The Frenchman is however a big fan of the English league with a soft spot for the reigning UEFA Champions League winners.
“They(Liverpool) deserve to win the Premier League, hopefully one day they will win it again.”
When pressed to pick a Premier League star he would love to team up with, the World Cup winner did not hesitate to name his France international colleague Alexandre Lacazette.
The Arsenal target man has scored 36 goals in 88 appearances since moving to North London from Lyon.
“I would love to play with Lacazette,” said Griezmann.
He’s a friend of mine, we played together in the national team. He’s an amazing player, has a lot of talent.”
