Xavier Amaechi has left Arsenal after signing a four year deal with German Bundesliga two side Hamburg for a reported fee of £2.25m minus add ons.
The England youth international put pen to paper Die Rothosen after passing a medical and will wear the number 17 shirt.
According to the BBC, Amaechi turned down a number of offers from top clubs including Bayern Munich and Barcelona for a regular game time which he will get Hamburg.
In addition, he also turned down an offer of a contract extension from the gunners while he was also not willing to move to another premier league club.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have reportedly agree a deal with French Ligue 1 club Lille over the transfer of highly-rated winger Nicolas Pepe.
According to reports, Arsenal beat Napoli who were in pole position to sign the Cote D’Ivoire international. The Gunners will pay 72m pounds for the winger.
However, the fee will be paid in instalments, while they will also need to agree a deal with Pepe’s agents. But the deal is expected to be formalised in the next 48 hours.
Pepe’s signing is a major coup for the gunners who are now having one of their best windows in recent times. The Gunners have already signed Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid, while they have also signed William Saliba from Saint Ettiene.
They are also reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Scottish champions Celtic over the transfer of Kieran Tierney.
