Austria opened the scoring in the 48th minute via a Tor Nina Burger strike. Then Nicole Billa doubled the lead for Austria in the 59th minute.
Asisat Oshoala scored the only goal for the current African Champions in the 65th minute, however, it didn’t count for much as Austria’s Laura Feiersinge made it three in the 72nd minute
The win for the Austrian side was sealed in the 82nd minute when Jennifer Klein scored her first international goal after she converted a ball through to her by Elisabeth Mayr.
Speaking to Soccernet.ng after the game, Super Falcons striker Ngozi Okobi said despite the result it wasn’t a bad game for the team.
“It was a very good first half because it wasn’t obvious we had a red card,” Ngozi told Soccernet.ng.
“We had many lapses in the second half, but not that bad because it’s something we can improve on,” she concluded.
