Nigeria’s Falconet earned their first three points of the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after the team defeated Haiti 1-0 on Thursday.
A goal from Rasheedat Ajibade in the 36th minutes via the penalty spot was enough to give Nigeria the maximum point.
The victory put the Falconets second on the table behind Germany, who are on six points while China are third on three points with goal difference separating them from Nigeria.
Nigeria’s final group game will be against China on Monday, in a game where the team needs just a draw to qualify.
