Nigeria-born Chelsea Ladies forward Eniola Aluko has confirmed her decision to leave the English Women’s Super League champions when the season finishes.

Aluko has not played for England since 2016 and was involved in a discrimination case against former boss Mark Sampson last year.

However, Eni helped the blues land the Women’s FA Cup and Women’s Super League titles. Chelsea clinched the latter on Tuesday with a 2-0 win at Bristol City Women.

Eniola, 31, who is the Daughter of an APC Governorship Aspirant in Ekiti State and a Former Senator, Gbenga Aluko has over 100 caps for England, she joined Chelsea in 2012 from Birmingham City Ladies.

A few minutes ago, the Superstar took to her social media handle to announce she will be leaving the Chelsea ladies when the season ends with a heavy heart.

Her tweet reads:

Another League & FA Cup double. 2015 was a dream come true to do it again I’m beyond words. After 5 yrs & 150+ appearances it’s with a heavy heart I confirm I’ll be leaving @chelseafc I couldn’t dream of a better ending. To my teammates who I adore, the club and fans THANKYOU💙 pic.twitter.com/FYjllPp9dX
