Reports from Spain suggest Manchester United and Barcelona transfer target Antoine Griezmann and his wife have started searching for real estate property in the Catalan region.
The report comes days after Griezmann and his Atletico Madrid side fell just short at the Camp Nou as Barcelona took an eight-point lead at the top of the table which has now been extended to 11 after Saturday’s win over bottom-placed Malaga. A win for Atletico Madrid against Celta de Vigo on Sunday will reduce the points deficit to eight.
There has been speculation that the Blaugrana are interested in securing the Frenchman’s signature, and talks even went as far as Atletico lodging an official complaint with FIFA back in January.
In a report broadcast on Catalunya Radio via Marca, it’s said that the French forward’s wife visited a real estate agency in Barcelona to kick-start the process of finding a home.
Further details emerged later that suggested Erika Choponera had, in fact, visited the town of Castelldefels, where Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho reside.
Later she visited the neighbourhood of Pedralbes which is right in the centre of the city and both Ousmane Dembele and Neymar have lived there.
Neither property was to her liking though, with it understood the couple are looking for something incredibly similar to the urban area of Alarcon where they currently live.
