Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has commended the legendary display of former Super Eagles forward, Nwankwo Kanu during his football glory days.

The governor stated that his love for Arsenal was due to Kanu’s heroic performance for the team in the Premier League.

He posted in his twitter account picture of him and Kanu while also noting that football’s a universal language.

“Football is a love language spoken worldwide. A true Gooner meets a legendary @Arsenal player.

“I became an Arsenal fan because of you and I have remained a Gooner ever since.”

Meanwhile, the former Portsmouth star thanked the governor Aregbesola for showing support to his game.

“Thanks, I appreciate and nice to meet you. God bless you,” he tweeted via @papilokanu.
