Ex international, Peter Rufai says the Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr must parade some of the experience and best Nigerian players to prosecute the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
The three-time Africa champions are top of Group B having beating Zambia 2-1 in Ndola and Algeria 3-1 in Uyo to earn six points in the process; with a tough tie against Cameroon on September 1st.
However, ‘Dodo Mayana’, as he’s fondly called by football lovers in Nigeria, said that the technical crew must not repeat the error they made against South Africa but invite experience players capable of defeating the current Africa Cup of Nations champions in Uyo.
“Cameroon believes in experienced players. Many Cameroonian players play for their national team for years , unlike us.
“We must play our experienced players against them . We shouldn ’ t gamble on playing inexperienced players against them.”
“Our players must be ready to fight the opponents throughout the game .”
