Coutinho ready to take pay-cut for Barcelona move

Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho has made it clear to Barcelona he’s prepared to drop his wage demands to clinch a move.

Barca officials were in London this week for talks with Coutinho’s agents.

And during the meeting, the Brazilian’s representatives made it clear that the midfielder is prepared to take a major cut on his current Liverpool salary to make the move happen.

Barca have little in their coffers after upgrading Lionel Messi’s contract, but that won’t be a problem for Coutinho, who believes he will make up the difference with title bonuses.

The big stumbling block for a deal, however, is Liverpool. The Reds have slapped a €150m price-tag on Coutinho.

Also working against Barca is the player, who had it relayed to club officials this week that there was no chance of him agitating for a move from his end of the table.
