Ahead of Nigeria Women Premier League clash between Edo Queens and Osun Babes, the assistant coach of the Omoluabi outfit, Coach Abdul Azeez Abdul Rasaq has admonished his girls to raise the level of their game and take their chances as well.
Edo Queens are enjoying amazing possessions and form at home this season, as they seek to extend their winning run against the Osun side.
Edafe Mamuzo’s strike against the host was enough to secure a vital away point for Osun Babes last season. Tomorrow’s game is definitely a big clash on the horizon and the visitors will have their hands full this time around.
Speaking to Soccernet.com.ng this morning, Coach Azeez Abdul Rasaq highlights the importance of the win to the team.
“We need to start scoring and start winning again. Our form cannot be compared with the host at the moment but l am so optimistic that our approach to this game shall earn us a positive results against our host.
“We have done it before in Benin and tomorrow’s encounter shall be a tough duel. With balanced officiating, l know we shall smile again”. Hoppers, as he is fondly called stated.
Osun babes were left frustrated last week when they couldn’t score a single goal against their visitor, Adamawa Queens. Though, the host displayed a sterling performance but wood work denied most of their chances.
“Our girls are equal to the task. Precious Edewor, Sarah Iloduba, lkoyo Rejoice and Esther Ossai are the players to watch out for. We will match our opponent muscle for muscle, we shall start and end the game on front foot and we shall return to where we belong soonest.” He concluded.
