Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has said departing midfielder, John Obi Mikel  showed great attitude and good behaviour while working him within a short period at Stamford Bridge.

Mikel completed his move to Tianjin TEDA FC in the Chinese Super League after his decade-long time at Stamford Bridge came to an end on Friday.

The Italian showed some respect to the Super Eagles captain, despite his inability to accommodate the midfielder in his game plan for the season.

“First of all, it’s important to say thanks to Obi for this period he worked with me,’ Conte began when asked about the Nigerian.

“He showed always a great attitude and great behaviour with me and I wish him and his family the best.

“Obi played many years with this club, he won a lotwith this club and he was a really important player, but I think there are moments you want to change, to find a new experience, and for this reason I wish for him the best.”

The 29-year-old midfielder spent 10-and-half-yearswith the Blues after  joining Chelsea in the summerof 2006 in a controversial tussle with Premier League giants, Manchester United FC. He won all the available trophies in the last 10 years with the West London side including Champions League Europa League titles among others.
