Arsenal Ladies FC forward, Asisat Oshoala scored four goals as Super
Falcons got their African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) title defence on a
flying start with a comfortable 6-0 win against West Africa rival Mali
at the Stade Municipal De Limbe in Cameroon on Sunday.

Washington Spirit forward, Francisca Ordega opened scoring 21 minutes
into the game, Oshoala netted her four goals in the 40th, 63rd, 68th,
and 77th minutes respectively in the all-important game.

FC Minsk striker, Uchechi Sunday scored from the penalty spot in the
47th minute after Osarenoma Igbinovia was fouled in the box. The Malians
had no answer as Nigeria largely dominated the game for the entire
duration.

The Florence Omagbemi tutored side will be gunning for a record
eighth African women title as defending champions. Super Falcons plays
Ghana’s Black Queens next on Wednesday in Group B clash of the ongoing
AWCON Championship in Cameroon.
