Arsenal and Nigerian youngster Alex Iwobi says was impressed with what he saw on Wednesday following the Gunners’ emphatic win over Ludogorets on Wednesday in a UEFA Champions League showdown at the Emirates stadium.
The Nigerian international came off the bench in the 73rd minute with Arsenal leading by four goals to help the Gunners beat Ludogorets 6-0 with Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and a Mesut Ozil’s first career hat trick handing the the Emirates outfit their seventh successive win of the season.
Talking to the media after the encounter,Alex Iwobi reflected on the squad’s strength in depth and said: “It was definitely the biggest win I’ve played in.
“We were professional from the start, from the first whistle to the last whistle and we played very well. It’s a good result for us.
“Well, we did go into the first half well but in the second half we cameout again and I think when we got the third goal it’s kind of put them off. Not won the game already, but made it easier for us to express ourselves and there’s less pressure on us when we’re playing and it showed.”
The heavy win means Alex Iwobi and his team-mates go top of Group A ahead of Paris St-Germain. Wenger’s men must now shift attention to Saturday’s visit of Middlesbrough to the Emirates in a Premier League week nine clash.
