Prime FC pacy forward, Victor Okeji has affirmed the readiness of his team to claim the sole ticket of the group and qualify for the Nigeria Professional Football League next season.
The former Gateway and Bayelsa united winger who has played about 810 minutes in the league this season, sees himself as a critical part of the team in achieving the set target.
“I thank God for enabling me to find my feet under the tutelage of Coach Shina Afolabi, l see myself as integral member of the team and am ready to sacrifice everything to lift Prime FC.”
The Lagos born striker however acknowledges that he would have to face stiffer competitions from the rest of the teams as the second stanza of the league is underway. The Omoluabi giants currently sit 4th on the log, 3points adrift of the league leader Remo Stars. Stars shall hope to do the impossible on Saturday, when they trade tackles with Prime FC of Osogbo in one of the week 11 NNL encounters at the Osogbo township stadium.
“We know the importance of our home game against Remo Stars, in fact we have increased the duration of our training, we are in line for the maximum three points.”
“The league is still open and we have a chance to qualify. We had a bad day against them (Remo Stars) in the first leg and my team mates are ready to utilise our chances on Saturday.
“Remo Stars play very tactical football at the midfield and we are ready to take them to the cleaners. With God on our side and good officiating, we shall henceforth play assiduously to pick points away,” Okeji told soccernet.com.ng.
