Ex-Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo will be joining former Nigeria League champions Kano Pillars, fcnaija.com reports.
The 36-year old who enjoyed over a century caps for the Nigeria National team is an ambassador with the League Management Company, LMC and he has been brought to star in the country’s top flight to further the boost the domestic followership of the League
LMC Shehu Dikko took the lid off Yobo’s destination at an event in Lagos where he confirmed that Pillars have beaten rivals, Rivers United, Wikki Tourists and even big spenders, FC Ifeanyi Ubah to the signing of Yobo.
The LMC boss said some lose ends are still being tied for the Yobo deal adding that the former Everton defender should be available for Pillars next home game which is a Match Day 34 clash against Sunshine Stars.
Yobo aside playing for Everton has also starred for top European clubs including Fenerbahce in Turkey among others.
